New Dog

New dogs are like babies, there always hungry, crying for attention almost all day, and they always are having to go to the bathroom. But also like a baby. there full of joy and bring everybody happiness. My grandpa just acquired a Chocolate lab and it the most awesome dog you could ever imagine. But like any new dog, it takes a little bit of training to get it to behave right. The first habit the dog has we have been trying to break is getting it to quit biting. It likes to nibble on feet, hands and whatever will fit in its mouth. I like this dog because it has such a happy, playful spirit. it will play for ever if you continue to throw a ball or stick. Now this dog has a lot of good influences. my grandpa currently has to yellow labs to kind of mentor it. And I find this dog as a very good example of life, how sometimes you just have to follow the ones who know more than you and have experienced life how it is. Sometimes you need good role-models to mold your own life in to. I find this dog as an example on how some people should live their lives.

Baseball

The baseball season is inching closer. The weather is getting hotter, the sweet smell of the flowers blooming means its time to get practicing. I know that some of you might be thinking it's to early to be practicing already, but it is never to early for baseball. Baseball is a time that you get to spend with your friends and to have fun. baseball isn't just a sport its a passion. You have to want to play the game. If that means you have to start doing private lessons or find a friend to play with, then do it. You can even practice by yourself by doing simple drills. Yesterday was the first day of the baseball practice for the high school students. The only thing is, I couldn't go because 8th graders can't play or they will lose a year of eligibility. This makes me mad because if you attend a high school you should be able to play high school sports if you have all the requirements. Even if the rules will not let 8th graders play at least let them practice with the high school team.

Dimensional Travel Log 007

If you have found this log, then you may have noticed how damaged it is at this point. Logs 5 and 6 have been lost, after fleeing from the beings mentioned in log 4. I may not have much room for any more logs, unfortunately- the damage to this journal is so extensive, many of the pages in the back have either been torn out or rendered unusable.

It has been many years since I have left my home and traveled across dimensions. Figures that after all this time, my device has finally failed me. I had finally located the coordinates of my homeworld, but circumstances had messed with my device and threw me into the fabric between. I was left drifting for what I estimate to be 6 weeks, before I woke up in a strange location. The room I woke up in seemed dead, with all the life drained from the surfaces. No color, just white. In the back of the room stood a crystal, however shattered. In fact, the crystal was shatterING- It was half-exploded, particles floating in the air, as if they were stranded in time. Could this be what happens to worlds when they die? I decided to head upstairs to try to find out more of my surroundings.

A girl with storms in her eyes

They think I am small
I am insignificant
I am careless
I am odd…
They think I am not competition.

I am actually strong willed
I am determined
I am prudent
I am my own person…
I am actually a force to be reckoned with.

In photos I may be brown eyed
May have dark brown hair
May not be flawless
May not look blank…
so they think I am not competition

I am actually a girl with storms in her eyes
A girl with flaws
A girl with thoughts
A girl with a mind of her own…
I am actually a girl with a past that she is not afraid of,
Looking to a future she can see.

"What colors are this dress?"

The completely random internet debate went viral within a couple of hours. It all started when a user on a social media blog site called "Tumblr" posted a picture of a dress. The reason why this dress has received so much controversy is because to some, the dress appears black and blue. While the others claim they see the colors white and gold.  Either side seems to feel very confident with what they are seeing right before their eyes.

At first I thought the whole thing was a joke, then I thought people were just being plain ridiculous. Even celebrities are being pulled into the social media craze.

I don't know what's wrong with me, I've been staring at it for a good ten minutes wasting my precious time. All I see is blue and black, the color of my knees after dance practice. I'm pretty sure it's what I see, although it frustrates me that my Twitter feed is covered in the opposite opinion. It looks as though the majority sees white and gold.

I continued to read about the mystery until I came across this, which I knew was a spoof when I saw it. It is simply someone looking for attention. They are quite clever.

So, what is the answer to the mystery? What do you see?

Scratch

For those of you who have never heard of it, Scratch is a website where you can program little things with color-coded blocks. It's easy to use, and I am a regular user on this site. I build these little games:

"Quotes" (Part 2)

Since you have asked, I have answered. Here are some more quotes.

Dear Curious Random Person,

Thank you for being a curious enough person to open this letter up, and read it, rather than throwing it away. If you are an excellent English student, please excuse my bad grammar.
This letter is not for a project, nor an assignment. I am simply doing this as an experiment, for fun. I do things like this often. Out of the (who knows how many) students at (our school name), I am wondering what kind of person you are. Are you a boy or a girl? How old are you? What do you like to do? Do you like to watch movies? Play sports? To read? To dissect animals?
I am already starting to weird you out… shoot.
Let’s start over.

Sometimes our darkest secrets lie in our greatest truths.

I have returned

Regular posting from me will return this week.

NBA All Stars

The votes are in, and they are sending the players to New York. That's right, the NBA All Star game is back in the big apple, and what better court to play on then those Rose Garden in down town Brooklyn. The weekend began with the Rising Star challenge, a showcase for all the great rookies of the NBA to face off in a East VS. West showdown.

The Thing With Society

In life, we are little red riding hood, and the society is the big bad wolf.

In class we discuss how "the body is like a canvas" but aren't canvas' supposed to be filled with art?

Because instead of accepting and appreciating the art, we Laugh at a girl because her form of art is a birthmark covering half her face. Or the boy who was attacked by a dog and his form of art is  2 four inch scars running down his neck.

We say that art is a part of life, but only accept certain forms. We act as though, if our world was an art museum. for it to be close to any definition of perfect, Everything would be white. The walls, the canvas', everything. and they'd all be the same size. A perfect square.

But is it our fault? Is it our fault that we where raised in  this society?  That this is how we've came to be?

             In my opinion... No.

You see, that's the thing with society. We judge, because someone once judged us.

We refuse to love, because someone once refused to love us.

And in the end, some decide they're not worth it. because once, someone told them they weren't.

               So who's fault is it?

              Ours?

              Or society's?

They

They are the ones
who can't see
the humans
on either side of them
in their souls
and in their hearts
What does it mean to care?

You are the mountain
they have to get around
your backs are the stairs
that get them to the top.
does anyone really care?

Their eyes widen
when you fall short
they don't understand
or what life means
they can't see what lies ahead
they can only see
the "they" beneath.

They are you and me.

Gamers: The Living Misunderstanding

"We gamers are constantly stereotyped as lazy, antisocial misfits..." Begins my expos piece on mobile gaming. And yet, as I look at the world around me, everything in the gaming world is misunderstood. We hold the title of "gamer" because we understand gaming. We know what constitutes a good game and a bad game, we understand who should be able to play which games, etc. But many others believe the opposite.

Dimensional Travel Log 004

Just recently have I come across a startling new discovery. And yet, as I discover one new thing, many more questions have surfaced. On my travels, I was recently besieged by an unusual species. As I study them more, I only understand them less. What are these creatures? Why do they follow me so intently?
