NBA All Stars
The votes are in, and they are sending the players to New York. That's right, the NBA All Star game is back in the big apple, and what better court to play on then those Rose Garden in down town Brooklyn. The weekend began with the Rising Star challenge, a showcase for all the great rookies of the NBA to face off in a East VS. West showdown.

My Sport
I am a gymnast, have been for almost 11 years. I started when I was about two when my mom and I did a "Mommy and Me" class. I instantly fell in love with the sport and I have loved it ever since. Along the way I have had many successes and many, many failures. This is a hard sport, no matter what people say. Even when they say differently you know for a fact that there is no way that they are able to do any of the skills that you do on a daily basis at practice.

NBA
http://espn.go.com/nba/powerrankings
Recently updated. The NBA power rankings are here (league wide ranking). The reason that this is so important to NBA fans is because it shows how good they are throughout the whole league. Typically, the rankings are based on division. The two NBA divisions are the eastern and western divisions. These two divisions fair well comes playoff time, but during the regular season, it's all about the standing in the entire NBA. The reason I bring this up is because my home team, the Portland Trailblazers are currently ranked 3rd in the power rankings. This is a big deal considering that there two leading centers, Robin Lopez and Joel Freeland are both out due to hand and knee injuries, and as a team who has relied on there big men the last five years, having there two leading rebounders out looked to be catastrophic. But with the recent return of Chris Kaman (center), and Allen Crabbe (point guard), plus the recent elevation in game between Damian Lillard and Wesley Matthews, the Trail Blazers blew by the Eastern conference with a 3-1 eastern roadtrip record. Now hat time has past since those games. LaMarcus Aldridge has now since left the court due to a left hand ligament strain (6-8 weeks). But all in all, the blazers have created a franchise team that has a chance to go all the way this year in the playoffs. GO RIP-CITY!!!

What is the Hardest Sport? (A Rant)
- sport
spôrt
noun
- 1.an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment.
There are not too many things in this world that I have strong opinions about, and here is one of them.
Let me ask you a question.
What do you think is the most difficult and taxing sport to participate in?
...Is it the sport that you're currently in?
In my opinion, you simply cannot truly know the answer to this question unless you are a human beast, and have tried every single sport.
| Chess is, in fact, a sport. |
You cannot say, "Basketball isn't the hardest, because all you have to do is aim and shoot."
You cannot say, "Dance isn't even a sport. All you do is dance around and wear makeup."
So what is the answer to the question?
The "all-knowing" Google says that the hardest sport is gymnastics.
I believe that gymnastics is hard, but I can't tell you the real and complete answer because I've only done four sports out of around eight thousand. In addition, there are other variables that play into this. There are very few people who go one hundred percent from the beginning to the end of practice.
Also, every bodies bodies are different and it might be easier for you to run a mile than it is for someone else. That's just the way we are.
So what is the hardest sport?
The world may never know.

Basketball!
IT'S HERE! It's finally basketball season. My team is getting pumped for the season. We had our first tournament of the season last weekend and we placed 4th. Currently we are 8-2 in are league and are looking for another win tomorrow. We have a better record than our varsity team. I am a starter on our team and am a team leader, if you will. I try to make big plays on the offensive and defensive ends of the court, but when I'm not going for an and one, I am boosting the other players by helping them be in the right spot and keeping their heads up after a missed shot. One thing that helps me to get in the zone is to watch The Blazers play the night before. They're my favorite NBA team, and are having a great year. I just love basketball.

Basketball
Some people think of basketball as a hobby, sport, game, activity, or time filler. To me, basketball is so much more than that. I play because I choose to. I choose to because I want to get better. I want to get better because I want somebody to ask me, "do you have any passions?" And me be able to say, "Basketball."
I go to the gym everyday. I put blood, sweat, and tears into it, literally. I work hard and play harder, because that's what I love to do, and when you love something, you don't just sit around and talk about it. You take actions into your own hands and show people that your not joking around. You do what you love and love what you do.
